Would 10/10 recommend to anyone! I booked this guided fishing trip for my Dad's birthday and it was a lot of fun. He was very knowledgeable about fishing and was willing to answer any questions we had without hesitation. I was very curious about the fish sonar and he showed me how it worked and showed me how I can see my bait go down towards the fish. I thought was the coolest thing! At the end of the trip he cleaned our fish for us which was very nice. Excellent experience all around!

Justin was amazing! He was great to work with and accommodated our scheduling requests. He met us at our dock for the condo we were renting and had several spots picked out for fishing the various species we were interested in catching. He is very knowledgeable as a guide on Lake of the Ozarks as well as about fish species and all things fishing! We had a great time and caught between 80-100 fish in an 8 hour day. I would highly recommend Justin as a fishing guide.

Justin was very professional and very knowledgeable about the lake and the methods we were using to catch fish. We went out for an 8 hour trip and caught somewhere between 80-100 fish that ranges through 8 species of fish! It was very much a day to remember for many years to come… see you next year Justin!

So happy we were able to book time with Justin! It was the highlight of our spring break trip . He knew every great spot on the lake, got both my boys on fish- paddle fish and bass, and taught them how to read the sonar — they absolutely loved it. Super personable, great with kids, and just made it feel effortless. Whether you’re bringing family, kids, or adults, Justin is the guy you want on the water. We’ll definitely be back (and I’m sure he’ll he booked up)!!

This was an incredible experience. If you are visiting the lake you have to give Justin a call. Booking was a breeze and he picked us up from our dock. Justin not only fished our area of the lake but put us on fish immediately. The conversations were great and the fish and the experience was just top notch. If you book with Justin you are guaranteed to have a great day.

Great day on Lake Ozark with Justin. Great boat. Great equipment. He did a great job finding us fish on a very windy day. We are fairly experienced fisherman, but caught most of our bass on a new technique for us. Justin is very personable and professional. We highly recommend fishing with Justin, whatever your skill level.

Our trip was great! My sons and I asked Justin to get us on whatever fish would be biting that morning and he delivered with a multi species day including crappie, white bass, largemouth, and even paddlefish. He truly seems to be dialed in on the lake of the ozarks. He is friendly and patient. Would love to book another trip.

AMAZING! Justin was the best guide I could’ve asked for. Picked us up right off the dock where we were staying and had everything ready for the trip. My 9 year old son hasn’t stopped showing everyone he sees the fish we caught. Justin was so great with him all day and never once got annoyed with snags or anything and just such a great person to be around all day. I could really just keep writing about how great it was and I will not hesitate to book another trip with him in the future. If you’re looking at taking a fishing trip on Lake of The Ozarks then you won’t be disappointed with Expert Angling Guide Service. I just can’t get over how patient he was and I feel like he truly loves what he’s doing.

Choosing the Right Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Guide Trip

Choosing the Right Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Guide Trip

I offer 4, 6, and 8-hour guided trips on Lake of the Ozarks, and the right option depends on how you want to fish—not just how long you want to be on the water.

Full-Day Trips (8 Hours)
If you want the best chance at a high numbers day or to target multiple species, a full-day trip gives us the time to adjust as conditions change. We can move between patterns, fish different areas of the lake, and dial in what’s working.

Half-Day Trips (4–6 Hours)
Great for families, beginners, or anyone looking for consistent action without spending the entire day on the water. These trips focus on high-percentage spots to get bites quickly and keep things moving.

Not sure which to book? Most anglers choose the 6-hour trip for the best mix of flexibility and results.

How to Prepare for Your Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Trip

How to Prepare for Your Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Trip

A little preparation goes a long way in making sure your trip is productive and comfortable.

• Fishing License: Make sure your Missouri fishing license is purchased before arrival so we can start fishing right away
• What to Wear: Dress for the weather and bring sun protection. Conditions can change quickly on the lake
• Your Goals: Let me know what you want to catch (bass, crappie, etc.), and I’ll build the trip around that

Once you’re on the boat, everything else is taken care of – gear, setup, and strategy.

As a full-time Lake of the Ozarks fishing guide, I specialize in largemouth bass, spotted bass, white bass, and crappie. I track seasonal patterns, baitfish behavior, and water conditions daily so you don’t have to.

Target Species by Season:

• Spring: Pre-spawn bass and shallow crappie

• Summer: Deep brush piles, ledges, and docks

• Fall: Aggressive bass chasing shad & schooling crappie

• Winter: Slower, deeper fishing with finesse tactics

If you want to maximize your chances and learn a few tricks along the way, I’ll give you the inside edge.

Electronics Training on Lake of the Ozarks

Electronics Training on Lake of the Ozarks

If you’ve invested in forward-facing sonar like Livescope or upgraded electronics, knowing how to use them effectively is the difference between guessing and consistently finding fish.

These focused 2-hour trips are built to help you understand exactly what you’re seeing and how to turn it into bites.

You’ll learn how to:

• Interpret sonar and Livescope in real conditions
• Identify fish vs. structure vs. bait
• Position your boat for accurate presentations
• Dial in your settings for clear, usable readings

Most anglers have the technology, but not the confidence to use it. This shortens that learning curve fast.

Why Fish Lake of the Ozarks?

Why Fish Lake of the Ozarks?

Lake of the Ozarks offers year-round fishing opportunities, but what makes it unique is the variety of structure and patterns packed into one system.

From dock-heavy shorelines to deep brush piles and main-lake ledges, the lake supports multiple species and techniques throughout the year.

Depending on the season, you can expect:

• Spring: Shallow bass and crappie moving into spawning areas
• Summer: Fish holding deeper on brush piles, docks, and ledges
• Fall: Aggressive feeding patterns as bass and crappie chase shad
• Winter: Slower presentations targeting deeper structure

With the size and complexity of the lake, having a Lake of the Ozarks fishing guide helps you skip the learning curve and focus on what’s actually producing.
