Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Report – 6/28/24

Got on the water early this morning hoping to beat the boat traffic and catch some fish. I noticed an abundance of baitfish on my electronics, so I started off throwing a 3inch paddle tail swimbait. After fishing several offshore points and humps I finally found a large school of active fish, and caught several 1-2lb largemouth bass and two big walleye! In search of big largemouth, I decided to switch things up and hit some deep brush piles. This proved to be the right move, as I was able to boat two really nice fish in short order! Both of these fish were caught on a 10inch ribbon tail worm, one of my summertime favorites. Later that morning the current picked up which helped the offshore bite tremendously. I caught several more nice bass on the big worm, including one pushing 5lbs and even a monster blue catfish! You never know what you’re going to catch this time of year!
