Justin Luetkemeyer
Founder, Expert Angling Guide Service
Since a very young age, fishing has always been my passion. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri fishing every pond, creek, and river I could find. My love for the sport grew and grew all the way through college, where I competed on the bass fishing team at the University of Missouri. After graduating, I moved straight to Lake of the Ozarks where I now reside full time.
I started Expert Angling in hopes to share my passion with others. I think everyone should get the chance to experience the adrenaline rush of hooking and fighting a fish. In my opinion, Lake of the Ozarks is the perfect location for a fishing trip due to the diversity of angling opportunities. I specialize in targeting bass and crappie, however this lake also offers the opportunity to catch other species such as catfish, white bass, hybrid stripers, and walleye.
Whether you are an experienced tournament angler preparing for your next event or just looking for a fun day on the water with the family, Expert Angling can accommodate your needs. Let's get on the water and make some memories!
Book A Trip With MeTournament Fishing Experience
I've been fishing tournaments for almost 10 years, and it's been one of the most rewarding parts of my angling journey. I started at the college level, where I competed as part of the University of Missouri's bass fishing team. Those early experiences fueled my passion for competitive fishing and taught me the discipline, strategy, and patience it takes to succeed on the water.
Since then, I've continued to grow as an angler, fishing in both local tournaments and nationally recognized events through Major League Fishing (MLF). These opportunities have pushed me to constantly improve my skills, adapt to different lakes and conditions, and learn from some of the best in the sport.

What Anglers Say
Had a fantastic experience with Justin! From the first message, he was prompt, organized, and clearly passionate about what he does. He knew exactly where to go—my husband and I were catching a great variety of fish in no time. His local knowledge delivered results, and his encouraging, professional approach made the trip enjoyable. He even took photos for us - such a thoughtful touch that made the adventure even more special. It’s rare to find a guide so committed to making sure every moment counts. Highly recommended—we’d book with him again in a heartbeat!
We couldn’t have asked for a better trip on the lake. Justin is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I would give 10 stars if I could. These memories will last forever. Thank you for the perfect day.
We had a blast out with Justin. He's super knowledgeable about the lake, had a plan, and put us on the fish. The top water action was fun, but when the bass were schooling near the bottom he had us switch to drop shots, and we crushed them. It was hard to keep track how many fish we were catching, 3 or 4 double ups. Seemed like every cast. If you want to catch fish out on Lake of the Ozarks , this is your man.
